It was not until I completed my hard drive and memory upgrades that I realized my design software (Floriani Total Control Universe) is not Mac compatible. I bought a used iMac from the Goodwill and wanted to use it for my embroidery designs and digitizing. I would recommend this program to anyone that does machine embroidery and so far have no regrets at purchasing it. I know I am not utilizing all of its capabilities yet, but as I learn more I will. You can select only one format or all of them. I have two machines that are in different formats and this program handles ALL formats.
Especially since my machines are a bit out dated as well and do not have color preview screens. I am not very tech savvy so it took me a little bit to learn how to actually view an embroidery design, but wow it sure is nice. I have not figured out quite all of it, only using the preview functions so far, but oh my is that great. On a Facebook group I am in some one had recommended this software, did some re search on my own and purchased it. Much of my machine embroidery files and supplies are still scattered in storage or lost completely. I only recently have been actively setting my sewing room back up after a long break.
